WITH THANKSGIVING

This is supposed to be my “off season” but it has been anything but off. All “on” and all thankful for the places and people I’ve been able to connect and reconnect with. 

The “gospel of golf” is most definitely being spread as “Letters to a Future Champion” continues to reach many, from girls high school golf championships to senior living centers, from local boutiques to the Barnes and Noble at The Villages in Florida and now the PGA Tour Superstores. So thankful for the reach!

The fall season has been filled with both private and public book signings and speaking opportunities up and down the East Coast. Through these appearances I am constantly reminded of the unique way golf creates an environment where people are comfortable sharing both their victories and defeats, feeling at ease to ask personal questions in the company of folks they’ve never met before. I’m not sure if it is a byproduct of the pandemic or the good of golf simply shining brighter, but people seem to be happier to share what the game has brought to their lives and the opportunities before us.

The book is also making a difference in the lives of veterans as we quickly close in on $10,000 in donations to the Saratoga WarHorse. It costs $3,000 to take a veteran from start to finish through this program, including travel. You are changing lives with your continued support and everyone at the organization is so appreciative.

Finally, a look to the future: we’ll be putting the final touches on the audio book in the next week and submitting it to AudioBooks Unleashed, with hopes of a mid-December approval and release. Thankful to be working with an amazing team of men and women who have been voicing, proofing and engineering this work to bring the book to another platform, one so important for those with sight challenges and also for those who just want a pleasant listen.
