Dottie Pepper is one of the greatest athletes to come out of Saratoga Springs, and this year she published a book about her journey and the advice that's guided her through out her life. "Letters to a Future Champion" is about Dottie's relationship with her mentor and golf coach George Pulver and came out earlier this year.

Dottie Pepper has fond memories of Michigan, having won the 1999 Oldsmobile Classic, the second-to-last of her 17 LPGA Tour victories coming in East Lansing.

Determined, dedicated and detail-oriented, Dottie Pepper is one of the greatest athletes — male or female — in Capital Region history.

Pepper did not ascend to such heights in the game alone. She had the help of George Pulver.

When Pepper was just 14 years old, she wrote her first letter to Mr. and Mrs. Pulver. She already had her eye on winning tournaments, with goals of competing in college and on the LPGA Tour.
